The critically-acclaimed “Dead Trigger” game for smartphones, which courted a lot of controversy recently after making the game free to play shortly after releasing it for $0.99, has now made headlines for the wrong reasons again.

This time, developers Madfinger Games made the previously $0.99 game free to download on iOS as well, with their CEO Marek Rabas stating that “the number of pirates on iOS is comparable with the amount of jailbroken devices.” While we’re not too sure on what he was trying to point out, you can be sure that “Dead Trigger” is now officially free for both leading OSes, with revenues to be derived solely from in-game purchases instead.
