Pay as low as RM28 a month and you could get your hands on the new Samsung Galaxy Nexus from DiGi. The telco recently revised its Galaxy Nexus plan, further reducing its monthly repayment to as low as RM28. However, don’t be too happy yet because the price of the phone is now RM1,999; previously, it was RM1,399 with a slightly more expensive monthly repayment. With this new rate and touted as an “Online Special” deal, it looks like the “Buy Online” option has gone missing, you’re only allowed to click on “Where to Buy” and have a list of DiGi stores shown to you; I wonder what the FREE delivery is for when you’re not allowed to purchase online. The good thing about buying it from a DiGi store is you will get to enjoy Easy Payment Plan (EPP) at RM128.85 a month. Moving on, it looks like there are only two options available now: 24 months DG Smart Plan 48 – RM28/month + RM1999 phone price Total cost of ownership is RM2671 24 months DG Smart Plan 68 – RM38/month + RM1999 phone price Total cost of ownership is RM2911 But is this a cheaper deal overall compared to the previous offers? Hit the break to find out and also a price comparison with Celcom’s Galaxy Nexus bundle. (Source: SoyaCincau) In the previous bundle from DiGi, sign up for 24 months under DG Smart Plan 48 at RM43 a month and get the device at RM1,549. This means that the total cost of ownership is RM2,581. The new plan is slightly more expensive at RM2,671. As with the 24 months bundle with DG Smart Plan 68 at RM48 a month, the phone was available for only RM1,399 so the total cost of ownership was RM2,551; much cheaper than the new plan at RM2,911. If you missed out on the previous and better deal, don’t be too sad because Celcom is also offering the same device from RM1,348. Sign up for 18 months under Celcom Exec 250 at RM250 a month and you can get the Galaxy Nexus at RM1,368. RM250 may sound like it’s a lot, but it comes with a combination of 200 minutes/SMS and Celcom Broadband Advance Plan; DiGi’s plans only offers data and calls/SMS are charged on a pay-per-use basis. Celcom is also offering the device with its Biz plans. Check out the plans below.
Do note that Celcom offers up to 30% discount for its Celcom Exec 50 plan if your total monthly usage is RM150 and above. Link : DiGi Revise Galaxy Nexus Plans. Price Comparison with Celcom | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
