Taking place 10 years before the events in the original God of War, the new God of War: Ascension (GoW:A) will be released throughout the world including Malaysia on 12 March 2013. To celebrate the occasion, there will a special one-day only pre-order session for the game at two outlets in Klang Valley on 1 February.

While Sony Computer Entertainment Hong Kong – who is responsible for all things PlayStation in this region – didn’t specifically mentioned if there will be any specific activities at the selected venues (Sony Style Suria KLCC and Gamers Hideout 1 Utama) on that day but what more important is that the first 50 pre-order customers for GoW:A DualShock 3 Wireless Gamepad Pack at each venue will be able to purchase the God of War Saga for only RM 29.90.

Not a bad deal indeed, considering that God of War Saga is a collection of three previous GoW titles on PlayStation 3 as well as GoW: Ghost of Sparta and GoW: Chain of Olympus for PlayStation Portable, all in one single pack. Furthermore, these pre-order customers will also receive additional GoW:A swags such as a t-shirt, two posters and a mug.

The program doesn’t just stop there though – customers that pre-ordered the game at a later date till 10 March through participating PlayStation Partner Shop will also receive the special edition GoW:A mug. That being said, this particular promo only applies to the game’s limited edition packaging.
