EA Sports has announced the latest addition to its uber-popular FIFA franchise. Like its previous iterations, FIFA 14 now adds more features that make it the most realistic football games ever developed. One of the biggest overhauls made for FIFA 14 is the introduction of the Real Ball Physics, which now takes into account the different trajectories the ball takes in real life when struck in different ways, such as dipping shots, rising shots as well as swerving shots. In tandem with the Real Ball Physics, FIFA 14 also introduces the Pure Shot feature, where in-game players now have the intelligence to re-adjust their stride and approach angle for the best position to strike the ball. As a result, these new features add a hugely satisfying and rewarding element when scoring a goal with a well-hit shot – just like in real life. In addition, players now have the ability to fend off opponents while dribbling at speed. Also, they now can out-muscle opponents before receiving the ball. Finally, the AI has been tweaked for greater teammate intelligence both in defence and in attack. Defenders recognize opportunities to provide support to win back possession, while attackers run along the backline and check their pace to create space and break down defences. FIFA 14 will be available for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, with a release for next-gen consoles strongly rumoured to be announced closer to the release date. However, EA did not release a specific release date for FIFA 13, but Gamespot notes that EA games have traditionally been launched sometime in September. Link : EA Announces FIFA 14 | |
