Fresh from many other manufacturers launched their Windows 8 products, Lenovo was one of the latest to show off their first wave of Windows 8 products. With three products for each market, Lenovo looks ready to build on its reputation as the world’s largest PC manufacturer. Read on to find out more of Lenovo’s three Windows 8 products. The first to be announced was the Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 13. There was a reason this Ultrabook was the winner of the Best of CES this year: this is the world’s first multi-mode Ultrabook, with a unique two-stage hinge that allows the IdeaPad Yoga to be used in four different modes: Laptop mode, Tent Mode, Stand Mode and Tablet Mode. This model sports a 13.3-inch IPS HD+ (1600 x 900) display, and with configurations that can fit up to an Intel Core i7 processor and up to 256GB of SSD storage, this is one uncompromising Ultrabook, despite weighing 1.54kg. Lenovo also announced a smaller Yoga to go with the Windows 8 flavour. Called the IdeaPad Yoga 11, it has an 11.6-inch 1366 x 768 resolution screen. The main difference between this and the Yoga 13 – besides screen size – is that the Yoga 11 runs on Windows 8 RT, on an NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor. Being Lenovo, there definitely would be a Windows 8 ThinkPad, and so it proved to be. The Lenovo ThinkPad Twist has a 12.5-inch 1366 x 768 screen protected with Gorilla Glass. With the same Multi-Mode feature as the IdeaPad Yoga, it goes without saying that all three screens are touch-enabled. In addition, the ThinkPad Twist also comes installed with Windows 8 Pro, with added features compared to the standard edition. The Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 13 will retail from RM3399, while the Yoga 11 is priced from RM2599. Both Yogas will come with two years of international warranty. On the other hand, the ThinkPad Twist’s prices start from RM3519 with one year international warranty. As for availability, Lenovo is sure to disappoint those who are planning on getting a Yoga. The IdeaPad Yoga 11 would only be available from early December, while the Yoga 13 won’t be on our shores until the end of the year. On the other hand, the ThinkPad Twist will be available very soon, with a release slated for the middle of this month. For more information on each device, look out for our hands-on with all three devices from Lenovo, coming very soon. Link : Lenovo Launches New Windows 8 Multi-Mode Laptops | |
