The Lenovo yoga was one of the first hybrid laptops that was shown to the world earlier this year in prototype form at CES in Las Vegas. Today, Lenovo is finally showing the Windows 8 device in its full, backflipping glory, with release dates in the US scheduled for the 26th October. On top of the existing 13.3inch hybrid device, Lenovo is also unveiling an 11.6inch little brother.

Coming in at a decent US$1,099, the Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 13 will be packing either a Core i5 or i7 Ivy Bridge processor, up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB SSD storage. You will be getting your grubby fingers all over the 1600×900 IPS multi touch display which is nothing to sniff at, especially when the Yoga comes quite svelte at 17mm thin and 1.5kg.

It’s younger brother the Yoga 11 is an ARM powered device that comes in with a more standard 1,366×768 screen, 2GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage. The Yoga 11 will be on sale for US$799 and up from December.

Now that the Yoga is out in the open, it’s only a matter of time before the rest of the manufacturers come out with their hybrid offerings. Brace yourself, the Windows 8 Hybrids are coming.
