In addition to the Windows 8-ready peripherals, Logitech also launched its latest webcam. Called the TV Cam HD, it is purpose-built for use with any HDTV. It has built-in Skype, negating the hassle of installing the software on supported TVs. In addition, there is Wi-Fi connectivity supported in addition to a dedicated Ethernet port, making installation truly painless for everyone. The main selling point of the TV Cam HD is its wide angle lens by Carl Zeiss, optimized with Logitech’s Fluid Crystal Technology. It captures natively in 720p HD, too, so everyone in the living room not only fits the screen, but images are crisp and sharp. There is also 2x digital zoom as well as pan and tilt options, all of which are controllable with the included remote. In addition, the optics in the TV Cam HD performs well in low-light conditions. It also has four noise cancelling microphones, which allows for maximized audio pickup. Finally, the TV Cam HD has a built-in ringer, which will notify users if there is an incoming call even if the TV is switched off. The Logitech TV Cam HD is priced at RM749 and is available now with a one-year standard warranty. For more information on the device, head on to Logitech Malaysia’s website here.
