Loud engines and massive noise has always been associated with monster trucks as they crushed poor used cars during their playtime but what happened when a monster truck is mated with an electric powertrain? The answer is in the clip below: Although Bigfoot #20’s electric engine produces 380 horsepower which is way lower than average monster truck’s output of 1000 horsepower, the engine is still powerful enough to enable Bigfoot #20 to do its primary job. Its creator uses 30 dry-cell batteries to power up the engine together with six additional batteries reserved specifically for the truck’s brakes and steering systems. To be frank, the all-electric Bigfoot #20 is pretty quiet to the extent that it sounds like a remote controlled toy car to our ears. Nevertheless, we still acknowledged its car-crushing capability though. Link : The (Almost) Silent Crusher: Bigfoot Monster Truck Enters The Electric Age | |
