When it comes to audio peripherals, you might thought that Razer already has pretty much everything under its flag such as earphones, headphones, and speakers. Well, think again as the renowned gaming peripherals outfit has just revealed the latest addition into its gaming audio line-up in the form of the new Razer Leviathan Sound Bar.
Built with two 63.5mm full range audio drivers and two 19mm tweeters, Leviathan Sound Bar can be utilized as per your usual speakers through wired analogue or optical connections as well as a wireless Bluetooth 4.0 speaker. There is also NFC technology built into Leviathan which allows it to be paired easily with NFC-equipped devices. The Leviathan is equipped with support for several Dolby audio technologies which include Dolby Digital that is used to convert analogue sound from optical source to digital information allowing the sound bar to produce 5.1 virtual surround sound via Dolby Virtual Speaker. Additionally, there’s also Dolby Pro Logic II technology which expands stereo content into 5.1 surround sound before being converted to virtual surround sound by Dolby Virtual Speaker. Accompanying the Leviathan Sound Bar is a dedicated 133mm downward firing sub-woofer that Razer claimed is able to deliver exceptional bass quality. Scheduled to ship to consumers next month, the Razer Leviathan Sound Bar carries a price tag of RM 689 according to Razer’s online store for the APAC region.
