Announced not too long ago at CES, here’s a redesigned 13” Series 9 notebook from Samsung and a brand new 15” that will be launched by end of next month, carrying a price tag of USD$1,399 and USD$1,499-plus respectively. From the images, they may look as slim as a typical ultrabooks but the company isn’t going to position these premium machines as one though, they also pack a specifications very similar to an ultrabook under the hood – Core i5 processors, 4GB of RAM, 128GB SSD, 6 hours of battery life, backlit keyboards and weigh as light as a mere 1.13kg.
Other notable features includes a slim profile of 1.27cm, the thinnest chassis ever that houses a larger display, a SuperBright Plus LCD display with 400nit, Samsung’s Fast Solutions technology that allows the Series 9 to boot up in less than 10 seconds, and the company’s Easy Settings that makes it effortless to connect to Wi-Fi, projects and more.
