ADVERTISEMENT Now, you probably won’t get to see this until later this year but hey, there’s no harm in checking out how cool the IdeaPad Yoga from Lenovo is right? Before moving on to the specs, as its name suggest, the Yoga is a convertible tablet with a screen that is able to flip all the way around and act as a stand; something different from all the “transformers” we’ve been seeing lately. Weighing less than 1.5kg, the 13.3” tablet boasts a four-in-one personal computing experience because it is able to be used as a notebook, tablet, stand and even a tent – further representing its name. Specification wise, it will come with an IPS display with 1600 x 900 resolutions and will pack the “next-generation” Intel Core processors. For your information, there’s also an 11” version. The fact that the keyboard is able to turn 360 degrees all the way to the other side and be folded flat to enable tablet mode suggests that it is not detachable. This means that what you see is what you get and the overall thickness of 17mm makes it rather large for a typical tablet so I would rather call it a notebook – or an ultrabook if you might.
The IdeaPad Yoga will be available in the second half of 2012 with an estimated retail price from USD$1,199. (Source: Engadget) Link : CES 2012: Lenovo Shows off its IdeaPad Yoga, the Windows 8 Laptop/Tablet | |
