Want some affordable tablets that will be packed with Android ICS operating systems or at least have the ICS update when it arrives? Well, you have Huawei of course, the manufacturer of the first non-Google ICS smartphone and the world’s slimmest smartphone, and here’s the ViewPad E70 from Viewsonic that will retail at USD$170 at launch. With the price point, don’t expect the best specifications. It comes with a 1GHz processor and packs 4GB of storage expandable up to 32GB via microSD storage. The E70 is Wi-Fi enabled, supports 1080p HDMI out and will come with a front facing camera but no megapixels were named. It will be reaching the US in late Q1 though no exact dates were mentioned. Viewsonic also introduced two additional 10” tablets at CES – the 10pi and 10e that are not lucky enough to get an ICS treat and will come with a much more expensive price tag. Retailing at USD$849, the 10pi is a dual-booting machine powered by Oak Trial z670 and can run on either Gingerbread Android or Windows 7. 10e on the other hand runs on Gingerbread, comes with a 1GHz Cortex A8 processor and will retail at USD$299. The company also introduced its ViewPhone 3, a dual-SIM phone running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread. For USD$279, you’ll get a 3.5” touch display, 800Mhz processor and 512MB of RAM.
