It looks like today is an auspicious day for developers to release updates for their apps, I’ve been seeing quite a number of news regarding app updates that brings fixes, improvements, as well as new features and if you haven’t check your mobile devices for an update yet, here are a few notable ones that I’m sure you should be interested in. Google recently updated its Drive app for both iOS and Android that brings editing feature for spreadsheet. You can edit your file directly on your mobile device and if there are other working on the same spreadsheet, you will be able to see what they’re doing in real-time. The update also brings the ability for users to create new spreadsheets right from their iPad, iPhones or any Android device. Adobe also released an update for its tablet-friendly app – Photoshop Touch, making it optimized for smaller slates like the new Apple iPad mini and the Nexus 7 from Google. The version 1.4 update also brings support for three pressure-sensitive styli, more effects, performance enhancements and the ability to share directly to Facebook and Twitter. Remember not too long ago when Skype announced its merger with MSN Messenger? The company has just released an update for its iOS app that brings that service. The feature, for your information, is already available on Android. The update also brings IM editing plus an emoticon picker and animated smileys support for Retina displays. Finally Evernote also has an update for its desktop app, bringing text-to-speech functionality to its Google Chrome extension, Clearly. Unfortunately though, while Clearly is free, the text-to-speech feature is only available for Premium accounts – USD$5/month or USD$45/year.
