Calling all iOS users, Apple just released an iOS 6.0.1 for your devices that promises bug fixes and improvements for your devices. Apart from highlighting some iPhone 5 problems such as the inability to receive OTA software updates and the flash not working, the update also addresses several problems such as horizontal lines across the keyboard, improves reliability of iPhone 5 and 5th Generation iPod touch when connected to encrypted Wi-Fi networks and more. If you’ve already gotten your hands on an iPhone 5, this looks like a rather important update so go ahead and update your iOS under the Settings menu.

As for the rest of you out there who owns an Android Jelly Bean device, it looks like Google too has an update in stored for you on Google Now. On top of receiving weather updates, and how long it takes to go to your most frequently visited places such as home and work (these are the only cards I have), Google Now is now equipped with a pedometer card that reminds you of how little physical activities you’ve been involved in. It hasn’t shown on my Google Now yet, but the new pedometer card is supposed to show how many miles we have been biking or walking in a month. According to Droid-Life, Google has been capturing our GPS information for such purposes since September.

So what are you waiting for on this sunny Friday morning? Check your mobile phones for these updates and get back to work!
